Review Week #6

What is the pen tool used for?
The pen tool is used to make shapes and smooth curves.

How can you manipulate a path/line in Illustrator? Discuss the use of the white arrow tool, pen+, pen-, and convert too.
You can click on the anchor and press and hold shift to move the path line. If the curve is too narrow, you can click on an anchor, then the white arrow to drag the curve to make it wider. Pen + adds anchors to a line, and pen - erases anchors.

How can you utilize the layers palette in Illustrator?
You make the first layer for a pattern, then lock it to ensure it doesn't get lost. Then, on the second layer, you can trace the design. After you are finished, you delete the pattern on the first layer. You then have a perfectly traced pattern.

How do you create a clipping mask in Adobe Illustrator?
You create a square over the entire design, then bring the design to the front. After, you highlight the square and the design. Next, you go to object then, clipping mask. Finally, click on make.
